Anna Abeytia

Ms. Anna Lynn Abeytia was appointed to the Governing Board in November 2020, with her term set to expire on December 31, 2024. As a newly elected board member for the Cartwright Elementary School District, Ms. Abeytia is dedicated to community advocacy and represents the voices of Arizona candidates. Notably, she is a former Cartwright student who attended Justine Spitalny Elementary School, bringing her personal experience to her role.

Cesar Aguilar was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, in a working-class family that valued community advocacy. His mother worked as an English Language Learner teacher, while his father continues to serve as a Union Heat & Frost Insulator in Local #73. In 2016, Cesar graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor's in Political Science, positioning himself among the Arizona candidates who are committed to making a difference in their communities and seeking political endorsements for their initiatives.

I have worked as a career and technical education director, a high school principal, and a special education director, which has allowed me to understand the needs of Arizona candidates. Additionally, I have served as a grant writer, public information officer, and state and federal programs director, all while engaging in community advocacy and securing political endorsements for initiatives that support education.
