Communications Director

 Junio Ocampo, who is nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns, is a fresh new face to the political scene. In only a year, they’ve accomplished so much and are only going up from here. They got their start working with the Somos Votantes campaign and that’s how they met Senator Analise Ortiz and started volunteering on her campaign. Through Senator Ortiz’s campaign, Junio made many connections throughout the year including becoming a member of MCYD. With dedication and determination, Junio actively participated and engaged in the organization, leading to their nomination to the Executive Board and becoming the new communications director. In their free time, they love to indulge in fantasy, romance, and dramatic literature, they also enjoy playing video games, writing novels, and discovering new music.
